St. Georg is one of the most colorful districts of the Hanseatic city – and now one of the most popular. In the west, the Alster, beautiful old buildings, winding streets with half-timbered houses and luxury hotels such as the Hotel Atlantic, the permanent home of Udo Lindenberg, beckon. The Lange Reihe in the center of the district invites you to store with its individual stores and to linger and enjoy the numerous restaurants. There is something for everyone here, as cultural variety and diversity have always been lived here. St. Georg’s central location and excellent transport links are helped by Hamburg’s main railway station, one of the busiest in Germany with almost 500,000 passengers a day.

The centrally located office and commercial building, which was built in 1973, is located next to the Steindamm 94 office building, which is also part of the Quest portfolio. It was completely renovated in 2014 and 2019 to make it more energy-efficient; the main tenants are the City of Hamburg and the financial services provider EOS.

Incidentally, the district owes its name to the leper hospital built in 1194, which was named after St. George. At the time, the hospital was located outside Hamburg’s city walls and the patients had no access to the city.
